Physics for Energy EngineeringLaajuus (5 cr)

Objective

To understand the physical basis of the technological applications in the field of training programme, gain facility with experimental techniques in physics and produce technical reports. Students will develop the fundamental skills and knowledge necessary to successfully conduct physical experiments, acquire and analyse data, explain results and investigate their reliability. The student gains ability to increase his physical knowledge and apply it to practical technological problems in professional studies.

Content

Wave optics, thermal radiation, x-rays, radioactivity and nuclear energy, semiconductors, solar cell, fuel cell. Laboratory exercises.
