After competing the course, the student: knows how the surface of the material is processed before coating knows the basic coating materials is able to coat wood-based materials with solid overlays is able to coat wood-based materials with liquid overlays is able to determine the quality of the coated products knows the potential safety hazard posed by the coating materials knows the appropriate methods to be used in the handling and recycling of the coating materials
