Objective

The student knows the properties and end-uses of common building materials (based on metals, minerals, plastics, and wood) and products. The student is able to determine the suitability of different materials and products according to the end-use targets of buildings. The student is able to estimate the service needs and economy of alternative materials and products during the whole life-cycle of the end-use targets of buildings.
