Objective

You know basics in mental health, basic threats in mental health, mental health problems and psychiatric diseases of elderly people

You are familiar with the key treatment methods in mental health care



You recognize the specific characteristics of substance abuse among the elderly.

You can evaluate the disadvantages of substance abuse in cooperation with your client.

You can guide and give instructions to both client and relatives in substance abuse.

You recognize the diversity of disability and its effects on elderly people.

You know disability policy programs and policies, legislation, services, and social support systems.

You know the methods and modes of multiprofessional rehabilitation.

Qualifications

Basis in elderly care 20 ECTS credits
Wellbeing technology and information management in health care 5 ECTS credits

Gerontological nursing and nursing skills 5 ECTS credits
Exercise gerontology and aging 5 ECTS credits
Special issues related to aging and getting old 5 ECTS credits
