Objective

This course will introduce the basics of cybersecurity, security management and threat analysis. After this course you will be able to conduct a basic security analysis related to your data.

After this course student will be able to do the following:

• Explain the connection between threats, risk and security.
• Describe how vulnerabilities are commonly exploited.
• Configure basic security controls on digital devices.
• Evaluate which security control is best for a given situation.

Evaluation

• Practical assignments
• One multiple-choice overview exam
• One practical final exam
• 100% attendance is required to take the final exam and to take a resit exam.

A minimum score of 40% on the final exam is required to pass this course.

Qualifications

No prior knowledge is required. Some familiarity with computers is beneficial.
