Objective

This course introduces an alternative, creative way of examining and advancing sustainability in tourism. After this course you are able to:

• Adopt a critical perspective to analyze contemporary international tourism.
• Discuss major sustainable tourism challenges in depth.
• Apply collaborative (digital) storytelling as technique to imagine structural sustainability solutions in tourism policy.

• Over tourism
• Tourism & colonialism
• How to apply (digital) collaborative storytelling to examine policy challenges and create innovative policy solutions.

Evaluation

• Two group assignments
• Individual reflection
• 100% attendance is required to complete the course
• A minimum score of 40% is required to complete the course

Qualifications

No prior knowledge of sustainable tourism is required. Basic understanding of tourism management and sustainability is beneficial.
