Objective

You are familiar with the educational or field-specific competence objectives of research and development methods, as well as the stages of the research and development process.
You are able to systematically search for information in key information environments in your field. You are able to read, critically evaluate and make use of literature and research publications in your field.
You know and know how to apply key development approaches and/or research methods and ethical principles in your field.
You are able to draw up a literature review using your own field and thesis according to the principles of scientific communication.

Content

What stages can the research and development process be divided into?
How do you find, read and evaluate research data in your field?
How do you prepare a literature review related to your field and thesis that utilizes reliable research data in accordance with scientific communication and ethical principles?
What are your field development approaches and/or research methods and how do you apply them in practice to your field development needs?
How do you report on the research or development process in accordance with professional and scientific communication and the ethical principles of your field?

Evaluation

Students can
• use professional vocabulary systematically.
• look for information in the key information sources of the field.
• identify interrelated tasks.
• work together with customers, users and target groups.
• use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.
• work as team members in a goal-oriented way.
• justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.
