Objective
You will familiarize yourself with the legislation concerning the serving and sale of alcohol. The goal is to demonstrate knowledge in the alcohol serving competency test of the Alcohol Act (Alcohol Act (1102/2017) §§57 and 58 and the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health Decree (158/2018 §§6 and 7) and the procedures for serving, selling, and self-monitoring in a restaurant.
An adult ( 18 years) who has passed the alcohol serving license test can act as the license holder's representative (formerly responsible manager) in a licensed restaurant, in which case they are responsible for complying with the Alcohol Act and the restaurant's self-monitoring plan.

Evaluation
Alcohol serving competency test: pass/fail. To pass, you must achieve 80% correct answers. The test can be retaken twice.

With the alcohol serving license, you demonstrate your knowledge of alcohol law . You need the alcohol serving license if you work as a responsible manager in a licensed establishment in a restaurant . Many restaurants require their employees involved in serving alcohol to have the license.
Alcohol passport is valid only in Finland.
