Objective

You have sufficient knowledge and skills to provide care to patients in medical and surgical facilities. You can apply multi-disciplinary knowledge in medical / surgical nursing according to ethical principles. You have the ability to provide care to patients with acute illness and patients with elective surgery. You recognize patients’ resources and health promoting factors. You know how to plan, implement and assess the nursing process.

What are the most common medical and surgical nursing procedures? How do you identify patients’ resources and health promoting factors? How do you guide and educate patients? How do you accomplish rehabilitative nursing? What involves the medical / surgical nursing process? How do you report and document the nursing process? What are the ethical issues in medical /surgical nursing process?
