Objective

  You are able to customer-oriented operations and to take account the social and health laws and regulations.  You can assess the significance of foot self care as a part of individual health care. You can explore and identify basic foot problems (podiatric diagnosis) and replay to them by the methods of professional podiatry. You can assess the emergence of the foot problems, the symptoms and choose the treatment principles. You are able to use the medicines (mainly non-prescibed)  in podiatry and teach self care to the clients. You can use podiatry process as a tool and document the podiatry process. 

Content

Training in Podiatry Clinic in Elixiiri during III-semester. Possible visits to institutions or departments. Critical review of the own podiatry basic skills. To familiarize and orientate the younger students in clinical protocols. Foot health care Skin and nail problems The painful foot and deformities Special treatments Medication Podiatry treatment process and documentation  Assignment: Orientation program (plan) and possible client-case.

Qualifications

Basic skills practice I 5 cr and II 5 cr Anathomy and physiology 5 cr, Basics and methods of podiary 5 cr
