Objective

Evaluation
Welcome to continue your German studies! In the German 1 course, you will deepen the skills you acquired earlier and practice talking about your education and work experience, as well as functioning in key professional situations. You will also have the opportunity to refine your argumentation skills with others and explore digital communication in German. Additionally, your cultural and international competencies will develop.
Qualifications
Before completing this course, the student must have completed the Saksa 1 course or acquired equivalent competence in another way.
Assessment criteria, satisfactory (1)
For CONTACT, ONLINE, and BLENDED course implementations, attendance is required during the scheduled teaching sessions. If you are absent for more than 25% of the sessions, your grade will be lowered by one grade point. If you are absent for more than 50% of the sessions, you will fail the course. You are able to use German in the most common oral and written situations in work and everyday life. You have a basic command of pronunciation, the most common language structures, and some of the vocabulary related to the course topics. You are familiar with some general features of everyday and work culture in the German-speaking region and have explored the diversity of your operating environment.
Assessment criteria, good (3)
You are able to use German fairly independently and fluently in typical oral and written situations in work and everyday life, and apply what you have learned in a variety of language use situations. You have a good command of pronunciation, several language structures, and the vocabulary related to the course topics. You are well-acquainted with the general features of everyday and work culture in the German-speaking region and have an even better understanding of the diversity of your operating environment.
Assessment criteria, excellent (5)
You are able to use German independently and fluently in a variety of oral and written situations in work and everyday life, and apply what you have learned confidently in new language use situations. You have an excellent command of pronunciation, several language structures, and the vocabulary related to the course topics. You are very well-acquainted with the general features of everyday and work culture in the German-speaking region and are able to consider and promote the diversity of your operating environment
