Objective

• You understand the role of the nursing management in the development and promote of evidence based practice.
• You are able to examine the factors hindering the development of evidence based practice.
• You are able to implement evidence based practice.
• You are able to ensure evidence based practice.
• You are able to assess the implementation and results of evidence based practice.

Content

• What is the role of the nursing manager in development and promoting of evidence practice?
• What are the factors inhibiting the development of evidence based practice?
• How do you implement evidence based practice?
• How do you assess the implementation and results of evidence based practice?
• How do you use information in decision making and management?

Materials

The literature will be given at the first lesson.

Teaching methods

Scheduled track:
Contact learning accordign to study schedule
Conducting group and individual assignements
The class room teaching includes information search and for that a lap top is needed

Student workload

The total work load is 135, divided in:
- Lectures 24 hours
- Presentation of group assignement 8 hours
- written assignement 70 hours
- Individual work (icl. database search practice) 33 hours
