Objective

You are able to recognize practical and theoretical strengths and development areas in your knowhow related to corporate communications, project planning, utilizing and management.

You can develop your skills in a goal-oriented, responsible and consecutive way in practical co-operation with companies, learning teams, multidisciplinary networks and utilize appropriate sources and materials together with the help of experts.

You master basic principles of multichannel communications, with which you learn to produce media content that is linguistically and visually coherent.

You learn to utilize service design tools and implement them in multichannel corporate communications.

You develop your spoken and written report skills and improve knowledge of international interaction, as well as leadership and subordinate competence.
You are able to evaluate your own and your team’s performance. You can make use of the received feedback.

Learn online environment and shared/referred literature.

This online course implements real corporate cases. Course proceeds from introduction lecture and questionnaire towards reflecting assignment. Students participating in the course will progress by following individual learning process.

Learning is supported with suitable materials, sources, experts, networks, communication tools, technology and methods. The teacher and, if necessary, other experts will assist during the process.

Course is a part of “VAU-Speed Up Communication with Service Design” project. Real tasks of corporate communications will be completed in learning teams by implementing service design tools.

Tentit ja muut määräajat

The main objectives of the course will be presented during introduction lecture online on Monday 16.1.2023. Each student and team will plan their own timetables as course proceeds. The final lecture will be held online on Monday 24.4.2023. Attendance is recommended for both lectures, but is not mandatory. All the necessary information and assignments will be available in Open Learn learning environment. There is no exam in this course.

During the course both Finnish and English languages will be used when necessary. Businesses involved are international or aiming towards international market.
