How do you deal with academic communication situations?
How do you search for information in Finnish?
How do you write a referential text and indicate sources?
How do you present your own research and development work orally?
What kind of vocabulary, style and knowledge of structures do you need in academic communication situations?
What are the characteristics of factual texts?
How do you use texts in your field in your studies or in your professional life?
What sources and tools can you use to write a reporting text?
How can you use different sources, techniques and tools ethically in your studies?
How do you set yourself goals in Finnish language learning and how do you reflect on your learning?
Accomplishment methods
The course is assessed using the initial assessment criteria. Criteria a, b, c, e and g will be emphasised in the assessment of the course.
At level 3, students will be able to
a) use concepts, structures and vocabulary of Finnish language level B1-B2 in an appropriate manner
b) search for information in accordance with the information acquisition process and make use of Finnish-language environments and various materials and aids in the development of language skills
c) perform fluently the tasks of the course
e) apply key research writing guidelines, methods and models
(g) apply research ethics in their own work.
