You deepen your knowledge of different crises such as developmental and life situation crises, grief and sudden traumatic crises.
You deepen your knowledge of individual responses to crises.
You deepen your expertise in identifying the need for professional support in grief and crisis situations, and the use of nursing methods in crisis.
You deepen your knowledge of identifying post-traumatic stress disorder and its treatments.
You deepen your knowledge of therapeutic interaction in crisis situations.
You deepen your competence in recognising your own resilience and know how to take care of your own coping.

How do you identify different types of crises?
How do you identify persons' individual responses to crises?
How do you identify the need for professional support in crisis situations?
How do you identify grief?
How do you interact with persons crises?
How do you identify post-traumatic stress disorder and how do you stabilise persons suffering from it?
How do you give first information and know the principles of stabilisation?
How do you recognise the limits of your own resilience and how do you take care of your own coping?

Evaluation

Based on level 3 of graduation-level competence in Xamk's assessment guidelines
students can:
• use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations.
• assess information sources critically.
• work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field.
• assess operations in client, user and target group situations.
• choose appropriate methods and techniques and justify these choices.
