Objective
Knowledge, understanding and proficiency of:
- basic use and functionalities of the navigational simulator for future simulator training.
Content
This course contains theory studies and supervised simulator exercises in the following subject areas:
- maritime simulators and simulator training courses
- simulator exercise structure and pedagogy
- introduction to navigational simulator and supervised simulator exercises
- basic use of radar, navigation, propulsion and manoeuvring systems and equipment.
Evaluation
Students can
- use professional vocabulary systematically.
- identify interrelated tasks.
- use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.

Exercise book and other materials by instructor.
Study forms and methods
Scheduled track:
Attendance at teaching and guidance sessions as specified in the schedule. Attendance at simulator training and completion of simulator exercises.
Independent track:
Not possible.
Blended track:
Discussion with the teacher, and if necessary PSP-planning with your own mentor teacher.
