- ability to determine the ship's position by use of landmarks, aids to navigation, including lighthouses, beacons and buoys, taking into account winds, current and estimated speed.

Spherical coordinates, map projections used in navigation, nautical charts, chart marks, buoyancy system, chart working, compasses, communication and warnings, wind and current, logbook.
