Objective

Knowledge, understanding and proficiency of:
- Basic lay-out, concept and components of ships electric network
- reading of electric drawings and symbols
- safety fundamentals of electric work

Content

- Electrotechnical variables and applications in ships electric network
- D/C and A/C circuits and concepts
- Voltage supplies and power sources
- Passive components
- Calculations and analyzes of circuits
- Safety regulations and standards concerning of electric work on board

Evaluation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary systematically.
- use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field.
- justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field.
