Kurssilla viedään läpi oppilaan määrittelemä ja opettajan hyväksymä suunnitteluprojekti.
Se voi olla laite-, laitos- tai prosessisuunnitteluprojekti, tuotekehitys/suunnittelutehtävä esimerkiksi 3D-suunnitteluohjelmaa hyödyntäen.
