Opetellaan mittalaitteiden käyttöä ja kytkentää mitattavaan laitteeseen tai tutkittavaan ilmiöön. Turvallisen työskentelyn osaaminen, kytkentöjen ja liitosten tekeminen, oman työn tarkastaminen, työturvallisuus. Laaditaan tehdyistä mittauksista raportteja. (STCW A-III/1 ja A-III/2)
