Objective

Nursing process
You are able to plan, implement and evaluate customer-oriented nursing in association with patients, their families and health care professionals.
You are able to use different kinds of nursing methods in patient/ customer psychosocial support.
You master the information and skills in the key measures of nursing.
You master the information and skills of the central diagnostic tests of nursing.
You are able to meet and take care of a dying patient and support his/her close ones.

Aseptics in nursing
You master the principles of preventing infections and can apply your knowledge when carrying out the prevention of infections.

Content

Nursing process
How do you plan, implement and evaluate customer-oriented nursing in association with patients, their close ones and health care professionals?
What are the nursing and psychosocial methods?
What are the central measures in nursing?
What are the central diagnostic tests in nursing?
How is cardiopulmonary resuscitation carried out?
How do you utilise the ABCDE protocol and NEWS criteria in the early identification of the disturbances in a patient's basic vital signs?
How do you utilise the structured reporting method (ISBAR) for securing the transfer of information?
How do you identify the signs of approaching death?
How do you meet and take care of a dying patient and his/her close ones.

Aseptics in nursing
What are the birth mechanisms of infectious diseases, the defence system of the body and the preventive means of infectious diseases?
What are the principles of the aseptic technique, the usual precautions and precaution classifications?

Evaluation

Students can:
• use professional vocabulary of clinical nursing systematically.
• look for information of clinical nursing in the key information sources.
• work together with customers/ patients.
• use the key principles, techniques and methods of clinical nursing.
• justify their actions according to the principles of nursing and aseptic work.

Study forms and methods

Opintoja nopeuttava oppimisväylä:
Aiemman terveydenhuollon ammattitutkinnon suorittanut ja työelämässä toimiva opiskelija voi suorittaa opintojakson tenttimällä opintojen alkuvaiheessa. Myös sairaanhoitajan kliinisen ydinosaamisen (kliinisen hoitotyön perusteet) tasokoe tulee suorittaa.

Työhön integroitu oppimisväylä:
Opintojakso muodostuu itsenäisistä verkko-opinnoista. Lisäksi on mahdollista osallistua vapaaehtoisiin verkossa pidettäviin teoriapajoihin.

RDI and work-related cooperation

Kliinisen hoitotyön perusteet -opintojakso suoritetaan itsenäisenä verkko-opintona.

Kliinisen hoitotyön perusteet -opintojaksoon kuuluu Prekliinistä harjoittelua, joka on koululla tehtäviä pakollisia harjoituksia ja simulaatioita 3 op. Nämä kulkevat rinnan Kliinisen hoitotyön perusteet 5 op (teoria) opintojen kanssa.

Kliinisen harjoittelun (työelämässä tapahtuva harjoittelu) osuus on 6 op.

Course part description

Kliinisen hoitotyön perusteet sisältää Learn-alustalla olevat materiaalit ja opppimistehtävät. Materiaali opiskellaan itsenäisesti ja osaaminen osoitetaan tenttimällä osio opintojakson lopulla. Arviointina 1-5/hylätty.

Sairaanhoitajan kliinisen ydinosaamisen tasokoe on valtakunnallinen ja sen materiaali-listat löytyvät Digi-moodlesta. Materiaali opiskellaan itsenäisesti ja osaaminen osoitetaan tasokokeella, jossa arviointina hyväksytty/hylätty. Tasokoe valmistaa opiskelijaa opintojen lopulla olevaan Valtakunnalliseen sairaanhoitajan kliinisen ydinosaamisen kokeeseen.
