Objective

You are able to design and dimension normal class load-bearing wooden structures in the ultimate and serviceability limit state.
You are able to apply the competence in structural entities to wood structures.
You understand the phenomena occurring in the structures and components.

Content

Core competence

What are the strength and use classes of materials?
How does the frame work and how is it dimensioned?
How is the diaphragm designed?
How are columns and beams dimensioned?
How do connections work and how are they designed?

Complementary knowledge

What kind of phenomena occur in different components?
How is the vibration of the floor dimensioned?
