Objective

You know the basic structures of programming and are able to build simple procedural programs.
You can do functions and use basic data types as well as tables and other basic data structures.
You will recognize more advanced programming structures and features.
You will recognize the basic components, protocols, and operating principles of modern telecommunications technology.
You know how to build a simple telecommunications network for a small business or organization.
You will understand the basic principles of access control and the basics of their use in a telecommunications network.

What are the types of basic data types and how are they presented on a computer?
What are variables and functions and condition and loop structures?
How to build a simple program? How is it compiled, installed and run?
What are the hardware, components, protocols and software currently used in telecommunications technology?
How to build a sensible information network for small business use?
