Social work with intoxicant abusers and criminals (5 cr)

Objective

After the course you have skills:
to analyse intoxicant addiction and delinquency from different viewpoints.
to identify and encounter addicted people.
to assess together with your clients the risks and disadvantages caused by addiction.
to apply different methods.
to identify the needs of offenders.
to make plans with clients to promote their welfare.

What are the nature and significance of substance abuse problems like?
What kind of challenges does delinquency mean to individuals' ability to function?
What are the main characteristics of social work with offenders and intoxicant abusers?
What is social work like in supporting individuals' ability to function?

Evaluation

Students can
use professional vocabulary systematically.

Tentitään kaksi kirjaa, mitkä saatavilla sähköisinä.

Study forms and methods

Työrjestyspohjainen sisältää 20 h kontaktiopetusta . Lähiopetusta ei voida tallentaa tai streemata eettisten syiden takia. Suoritusvaihtoehto sisältää tentin ja oppimistehtäviä

Nopeuttajan väylällä opiskelija voi halutessaan suorittaa opintojakson täysin itsenäisesti tekemällä vaaditut oppimistehtävät ja tentin. Mikäli opiskelijalla on alan koulutusta ja työkokemusta hän voi myös saada opintojakson näyttötehtävällä.

Työhön integroitu vaihtoehto on heille, joilla on vakituinen työpaikka missä tehdään joko päihde- tai kriminaalityötä. Tällöin opiskelija laatii omaa osaamistaan kehittävän kehittämistehtävän päihde- ja kriminaalityön asiakas/ohjaustyöhön.

Timing of exams and assignments

Learn - tentti työjärjestyspohjaisessa, sekä luento- että itsenäisessä suoritustavassa. Tentti ajoitetaan luento-opetuksen ulkopuoliselle ajankohdalle.
