Objective
Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- the basics of operating and maintaining electrical systems
- safety requirements and measures for condition monitoring and maintenance of electrical equipment
- detect, locate and prevent further damage
- reading, interpreting and updating electric pictures
Content
- electrical safety requirements for repairs, modifications and additional work
- practical knowledge for the testing, maintenance, fault finding and repair
- deployment of electrical equipment
Evaluation
Students can
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices
- Work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field
In addition, competence evaluation according to STCW code table A-III/1 column 4 are used:
- selection and use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment are appropriate and interpretation of results is accurate
