Objective

The student understands the special features of aged as a target group for pharmacotherapy.

The student knows the most common symptoms in aged demanding pharmacotherapy.

The student regognizes the increased sensitivity to toxic effects of drugs related in aged.

Content

What are the main physiological factors of aging related to pharmacotherapy ?

What are the main things to concider when guiding an aged person to their medication?

What are the main symptoms in aged demanding use of medicines?

What are the main issues to concider during monitoring and evaluation of pharmacotherapy in aged?

What are the risk situations in physiology that affect drugs in aged?

Course material

The study material is given in Learn. All the material is in English.

Study forms and methods

The student works independently according to the given material and schedule. This course is on-line course.

RDI and work-related cooperation

The course does not include practical training, but provides knowledge for it.

Timing of exams and assignments

A student may take the course exams three times according to the schedules provided at Learn.
