Objective

The students can solve basic mathematical calculations with real numbers, particularly percentage calculations. The students can solve both numerical and word problems as well as equations. The students know important key concepts of statistical analysis and can define the most common statistical indicators.

Content

The course reviews and deepens the basic concepts of percentage calculations, linear equations and statistical methods. During the course, the students learn to efficiently use the Excel program in mathematics.

Further information

This course is particularly for the students in the Higher education preparatory
program for immigrants. In the special cases, this is possible to join also for the degree students of Xamk.

Student has achieved the objectives of the course with excellent marks. Student masters commendably the course subject area’s concepts and is able to make justified and fluent analysis on course subject area. Assessment methods and criteria

The criteria of the assignments available in the "Learn" platform. The course grade bases on the assessment of the individual assignments, and each of them should be passed. Teacher gives feedback that supports the student's learning process.
