Knowledge based management and entrepreneurship (5 cr)

Objective

You know how to maximise the benefits of digitalisation and data for the good of companies and their customers.
You understand the meaning of future information for business. You can collect and critically analyse future information and use it systematically in developin business operations.
You can identify future information related tools that are important for business and make use of them in business operations.

What does knowledge-based management mean and how to use in business?
What future information is collected, analysed and used in business and how?
What future information related tools and methods can be used in business and how?

Evaluation

Students can

- find, study, produce and evaluate critical and multidisciplinary data relating to entrepreneurial skills and business planning and development.
- solve problems that are significant and demanding in terms of business operations.
- evaluate and manage their own activities as entrepreneurs as well as operations involving individuals, teams and networks.
- be responsible for operations and develop them independently.
- evaluate different strategic approaches and justify their use in terms of management and development.
- work independently as entrepreneurs or in the expert duties of the professional field.
- communicate proficiently and systematically about their business to stakeholders by speaking and writing.

Opiskelumateriaali: keräät oman materiaalin pohjautuen oppimistarpeeseen. Opintojakson alussa ilmoitetaan suositeltu kirjallisuus ja tuetaan omatoimisen materiaalin etsinnässä kirjaston tietokantojen kautta.

RDI and work-related cooperation

Teet oppimistehtävät soveltaen omaa yritystä (itsenäinen yrittäjä tai sellaiseksi mahdollisesti aikova) tai toimeksiantajalle (yrittäjyyden asiantuntijat tai muiden palveluksessa olevat henkilöt).

Timing of exams and assignments

Oppimistehtävät, joiden palautusajat ilmoitetaan opintojakson Learn -alustalla. Hylättyä oppimistehtävää voi täydentää annetun aikarajan puitteissa. Ainoastaan palautetut tehtävät ovat oikeutettuja arviointiin.

Student workload

Työmäärä 135h tuntia jakautuen oppimistehtäviin ja erilaisiin aineistojen ja datan hakuun jne.
