Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- planning and dimensioning the electricity network of the building
- selection and installation of electrical equipment
- electrical safety requirements
- responsibilities and obligations related to electrical installations

Content

- electrical safety
- protection against electric shock
- network structure
- power determination
- dimensioning of cables
- selection and installation of electrical equipment
- IP code

Evaluation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices

In addition, competence evaluation according to STCW code table A-III/6 column 4 are used:
- operation of equipment and system is in accordance with operating manuals
- performance levels are in accordance with technical specifications
