Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- use of the ship's power plant, main power system and large loads
- operation, protection and control of the power plant, main power system and large loads
- know most common measurement and instrumentation techniques of ship automation
- understand and control control and measurement technology in ship automation
- safety instructions and regulations
- analyze and report research results in writing

Content

- operating principles of the electricity distribution network
- synchronization
- load sharing most common connections
- measuring and actuators
- calibration equipment and methods
- P, PI, PID controllers
- operating and programming of programmable logic
- structural of field equipment and control systems
- device and application design
- analysis and reporting of measurement results

Evaluation

Students can:
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field
