Group counselling and communality work (5 cr)

Objective

You are able to apply the principles and methods of social pedagogy and socio-cultural animation.
You are familiar with group dynamic models and are able to identify the phenomena related to them.
You are able to plan, implement and evaluate target-oriented counselling by supporting the client’s involvement and sense of communality.
You are able to reflect upon your own strengths and development challenges as a counselor.

Content

How can the clients' involvement and sense of community be systematically supported in a target-oriented way?
What group dynamic models and phenomena are there?
How can you apply the principles and methods of social pedagogy and socio-cultural animation in the different social work environments?
What stages do the client processes involve?
What reflection methods can you use for developing your own work as a counsellor?

Evaluation

RDI and work-related cooperation

Opintojaksolla tehdään työelämäprojekti, joka voi vaikuttaa toteutukseen ja lukujärjestykseen.
Opintojakson ryhmätehtävä integroituu opintojakson "Eettinen asiakastyö" työelämäprojektiin. Ryhmätehtävässä tarkastellaan työelämäprojektissa huomioitavia ja esille nousevia eettisiä ja moraalisia kysymyksiä sosiaalialan eettisten periaatteiden näkökulmasta.
