Objective

Patient safety
You understand the importance of patient safety in nursing settings.
You have command of the central tenets of patient safety.
You know how to promote patient safety and prevent patient safety incidents at different stages of the patient care process.
You are able to function immediately as the situation mandates in the event of a patient safety incident.

Data management in healthcare
You are able to comply with data protection and security requirements and the regulations of the social wellness and health care sector.
You are able to observe online etiquette, the rules and procedures that pertain to email, to take into account cyber security and also to safely use social media and electronic health information services from a professional perspective.

Evidence-based nursing
You understand what evidence-based practice is in the work and decision- making of a nurse.
You are capable of searching the most common health sciences databases and reading scientific publications.
You know how to use healthcare information technology, electronic databases and reporting tools.
You are able to apply evidence-based data in your work.

Ethical activities of the nurse
You know how to act in accordance with the ethical principles of your field.
