Objective

You will be able to observe changes and development in the built environment.
You will be able to create and define the research issues related to the development of the built environment, living environment, and energy efficiency.
You will be able to use relevant literature in research and development project planning. You will be able to critically evaluate the reliability of reference material.
You know how to plan project plan in your own field.
You will be able to do research and development project in a way that the results of the reliability and recoverability will be compromised.
You will be able to report research and development project in the field of built environment, living environment and energy efficiency according the rules but having also high professional competence

What kind of changes and development can be seen in the built environment?
What is a good project plan and thesis?
How does your thesis contribute to your organization's activities?
What kind of data collection methods is the use?
What kind of research methods is in use and what are the general principles of them?
How to implement applied research?
How the research results are evaluated reliability?
How do you report your research in your organization?

Study forms and methods

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä:
Osallistut työjärjestyksen mukaiseen opetukseen ja ohjaukseen. Opiskelusi rytmittyvät työjärjestyksen mukaisten ryhmätapaamisten ja itsenäisesti tehtävien oppimistehtävien mukaan.

Student workload

Opiskelijan työmäärä on 135 tuntia, josta lähiopetusta on 20 tuntia. Opiskelijan itsenäistä opiskelua on 115 tuntia.

Assessment criteria, approved/failed

Arvioinnissa käytetään alla olevia kriteereitä:
a. hankkia, käsitellä, tuottaa ja arvioida kriittisesti monialaista tietoa erityisosaamisalueellaan
b. ratkaista vaativia ongelmia tutkimus-, kehittämis- ja /tai innovaatiotoiminnassa
e. arvioida strategisia lähestymistapoja ja perustella niiden käyttöä johtamisen ja kehittämisen näkökulmasta
g. viestiä asiantuntevasti sekä johdonmukaisesti suullisesti ja kirjallisesti omalla äidinkielellä sekä yhdellä vieraalla kielellä

Further information

Opintojakson aikana kukin opiskelija ideoi ja suunnittelee omaa opinnäytetyöprojektia.
