You know the most common challenges of global health.
You know the common national diseases, their risk factors, prevention and care.
You can advice the client on how to prevent non-communicable diseases.
You can advice the client to reach an appropriate balance by nutrition, physical activity and rest.
You know the most common medication for national diseases and can advice the client accordingly.
You can utilize technology in the support of self-care.

What are the most common national diseases, their risk factors, prevention and evidence-based medical care?

The course is implemented as online studies 13.1.- 31.5. 2025. The studies include various tasks.

Toteutuksen osien kuvaus

The information at the beginning of the course is mandatory.
The course consists of themes in accordance with the objectives. Each theme involves a learning task or tasks, to which material or material is assigned according to the chosen topic. Some of the tasks are evaluated numerically, and some on a scale approved - rejected.

Further information

Completion of the course requires that the student has completed supplementary studies in public health nursing and practical training in public health nursing. Because of this, the course of study is scheduled to take place in the final semester.

The course is assessed numerically and the assessment is based on learning tasks during the course, some of which are assessed numerically (1-5), and some of which are graded approved-failed.
