Objective
- You understand the basics of the CAD program selected for the course.
- You know the basic tools and drawing techniques in the software.
- You are able to use the program as part of the design process.
- You are able to export and import your plans from one software to another.
- You know how to develop your skills independently in the future.
Content
- How can I make the most of the software?
- What are the tools in the software and how do I use them?
- How do I make use of the software at different design phases?
- How do I print a drawing and how to import the file into another software?
- How can I develop my skills independently and where can I get further information?
Course material
Teaching material is in videos.
Study forms and methods
The course follows a work week-based learning pathway.
Xamk offers its students an opportunity to pursue studies flexibly to suit their various life situations. Students can choose between three learning routes: a learning route based on a working week, a learning route that accelerates the studies, and a work-based learning route.
A learning route based on a working week according to timetable.
RDI and work-related cooperation
Possible working life oriented excercise, in which assignment from external cooperation company.
Student workload
5cr is 135h where contact teaching is 70h and independence working is 65h
Further information
The teaching material used in the course is in videos, to which students also have access after the course.
Teaching is done remotely in Teams, but a computer class is reserved for students for the entire course. There is an assistant student in the class throughout the course and he/she helps with learning tasks and answers any questions that arise.
The first time of the course, we will go through the basics of BIM and the instructions related to the use of videos. The students then continue independently and the times of the distance teaching will be agreed on the schedule of the course at appropriate intervals.
The learning task is to model the decorated building. Students submit screenshots of their progress at scheduled intervals. This ensures that everyone stays on schedule.
