Tavoitteet

Tiedät tietoliikenneverkkojen peruskäsitteet liittyen lähiverkkoihin, laajaverkkoihin ja langattomiin verkkoihin.
Ymmärrät lähiverkkojen ja niissä käytettyjen protokollien toimintaperiaatteet.
Tiedät reitittimien ja kytkimien roolin yritysverkoissa.

Sisältö

Mitä Internet, intranet ja extranet tarkoittavat?
Kuinka lähiverkot, laajaverkot ja langattomat verkot toimivat?
Mitä protokollia eri tyyppisissä verkoissa käytetään ja kuinka ne toimivat?
Millaisia laitteita reitittimet ja kytkimet ovat ja mikä on niiden rooli yritysverkoissa?
Kuinka laitteet liitetään verkkoon? Millaisia vaihtoehtoja on olemassa?

Opiskelumuodot ja -menetelmät

You will attend teaching and guidance sessions as specified in the weekly schedule.
Your study routine is determined by the scheduled group sessions and by the self-study assignments. You will do the labs in small groups of two-three students.

Opiskelijan työmäärä

135 h, of which 60 hours are worked in a classroom and labs. Homeworks, exam preparations and report writing takes the rest of the time.
