Objective

You understand the significance of interaction as part of your professional expertise and you can act appropriately in various communication situations.
You are familiar with Xamk's instructions for written assignments.
You are able to search reliable information and use it ethically.
You can express your views justifying them based on facts and use standard Finnish appropriate in each context.
You know how to write texts that meet the standards for layout, content and style required in your studies and in your own field, and use appropriate tools and forums.
You improve your interactive communication skills and manage fluently in different cooperation situations, such as meetings and negotiations.
You develop your presentation skills for professional purposes and acquire skills in giving and receiving feedback.

Evaluation

The course Finnish communication skills takes place at the entry-level of the learning process. Students achieving the level 3 are able to
- search new information, react to it critically and use it in their written and spoken communication.
- understand interrelated tasks and complete them as scheduled.
- communicate interactively and appropriately in different situations.
- use Xamk's writing templates, referencing guidelines and software for writing and presentations.

Study forms and methods

Tämä on itsenäisesti verkossa suoritettava opintojakso, johon kuuluu erilaisia oppimistehtäviä.

- aloitustapaaminen online (Teams) kurssin alussa

Kurssilla on yksi paritehtävänä laadittava kirjoitustehtävä sekä yksi noin 4 hengen tiiminä suoritettava puhe-esitysharjoitus. Tehtävät suoritetaan etänä ja verkkoviestintävälinein.

Työviikkopohjainen oppimisväylä: etenet itsenäisesti verkossa suoritettavan opintojakson.

Opintojaksolla harjoitellaan suomenkielisen viestinnän ammatillisia perustaitoja työelämää ja opiskelua varten.
