Objective
- you can design products which are in accordance with the requirements of ecological design
- you pay attention to the separate stages of production: anticipating, planning, choice of materials, manufacturing process, packing and logistics, use and maintenance and recyclability
Content
How to ensure that products with high energy efficiency and low environmental impact are available to the consumers?
How to ensure that the energy consumption of using the product is as low as possible?
How are environmental considerations and the life cycle approach integrated in the product design process?
Evaluation
Students can
3a. use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situa-tions
3b. evaluate information sources critically
3c. work as team members in working life expert duties and identify and describe the problems of the professional field
3e. choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices
3f. promote teams’ goal-oriented operation
3g. apply critically the ethical principles of the professional field in different situations

The course follows a work week-based learning pathway.
