Objective
The student knows the most important chemical and physical properties of the materials to be transported by sea, spontaneous reactions of chemicals, prevention of aforementioned reactions, and hazardous elements of materials to human health, vessels and environment.
The student can take the dangerous nature of materials into consideration in the loading planning, knows the legislation and codes related to the transportation of dangerous goods, separation regulations and documentation, and declaration procedures.
