Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- methods for calculating DC and AC circuits
- three-phase circuits and their function
- transients and resonance
- harmonics and their filtering

Content

- calculation and analysis methods
- algebra for complex numbers
- transfer functions
- waveform analysis

Evaluation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices

In addition, competence evaluation according to STCW code table A-III/6 column 4 are used:
- operation of equipment and system is in accordance with operating manuals
- performance levels are in accordance with technical specifications
