Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- infrastructure of local networks and buses
- the meanings and procedures of protocols
- define the importance of security on different networks
- define encryption methods used in different networks
- define different methods to ensure security
- cyber security in automation

- structures of topologies
- operating principles and cabling of local networks and buses
- operating principles and features of active devices
- subnet creation
- protocol concepts and most used applications
- TCP / IP and OSI architectures, basic protocols for transport, network and transport layers, quality of IP service
- basic concepts related to information security
- encryption keys and their handling
- security of information and communication systems, user management and authentication
