Objective

Nursing in mental health care
You can apply knowledge on common mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses to nursing.
You master the common nursing methods and medication in treating mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses.
You can carry out the medication of mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses.
You are capable to communicate professionally and with the nursing viewpoint with customers/patients of different ages and backgrounds and their families.
You are capable to apply evidence-based knowledge to mental health care, substance abuse care and acute crisis care.

Substance abuse care
You master the common methods in substance abuse care.

Nursing in acute crisis care
You are capable to support a person in an acute crisis.
You recognize sorrow and the stages of sorrow.

What are the most common mental disorders and psychiatric illnesses?

Study takes place in contact teaching and with a group. This learning pathway includes lectures, exercises, and online studies. Some of the studies are not tied to time and place. Final exam.

As far as possible, working life experts and experience trainers participate in preclinical training.

After the theory studies have been approved, there is a final exam, which is taken at Exam.
Preclinical training is on campus.

Theory studies 4 credits x 27 hours = 108 hours.

Preclinical trainings are on our own campus.
There are seminars, simulations, small group discussions and case assignments.

Assessment methods and criteria

Evaluation methods and evaluation criteria:
The tasks, online discussions and knowledge tests on the online platform must be completed with approval.
The final exam is evaluated on a scale of failed-K5.
The grade of the exam forms the grade of the entire course.
A rejected performance can be renewed twice.
Preclinical training: 100% presence and activity in training =H
