Objective
After the completion of the course,
- you are able to communicate in Finnish in various basic everyday situations
- you can use appropriate phrases and you able to expand basic vocabulary
- you are familiar with the key features of the Finnish grammar
- you can apply your skills in practice, both orally and in writing
- you are able to independently expand your vocabulary resources and improve your Finnish skills using different sources.

- simple communication, conversations and writing tasks related to e.g. holiday activities, hobbies, service encounters (in a shop, bank, theatre etc.)
- grammatical themes related to the communicative content of the course

Opiskelumateriaali
The course material can be found on the course platform in Open Learn. The study material is presented in the format of Power Point presentations, videos, audio material, and links to outside internet sources.

The course is implemented in the online learning environment (Open Learn). The assignments and the exam are to be completed by the specified deadline. The are no so scheduled lectures in the course.

The online assignments and the online exam are to be completed by the specified deadline. The prerequisite of passing the course is successful completion of the online exam (at least 50% of the answers should be correct).

The course deals with some basic everyday situations, some key features of the Finnish grammar and elementary vocabulary.
