Objective
Intravenous drug and fluid therapy and blood transfusion
You know nurses' responsibilities in intravenous drug treatment processes.
You know the physiological foundations of intravenous medicine, fluid and nutrition therapy.
You can implement and assess medical, fluid and nutritional treatment and blood transfusion.
You can monitor and assess the effects and effectiveness of intravenous drug therapy.
You are able to document fluid balance.
You master the calculations required for pharmaceutical, fluid and nutritional treatment.
Basics of Vaccination Skills
You master the basics of vaccination and know the national vaccination programme.
You are familiar with the prevention, symptoms and treatment of infectious diseases that can be prevented by vaccination.

What nurses' responsibilities in intravenous drug treatment processes?

Lääke- ja iv-nestehoito: Lääkehoidon käsikirja (uusin painos) soveltuvin osin sekä Learn-alustalla olevat materiaalit. Lääkelaskut-osiossa Learn-materiaalit ja Annos oivallusta -kirja.
Rokotusosaaminen: Learn pohjalla oleva oppimateriaali / THL: rokotussivustot
Study forms and methods
Lääke- ja iv-nestehoidon osalta kontaktiopetusta noin 10h / opintopiste. Opintojakson tehtävien suorittaminen Learn-alustalla ja tentin suorittaminen Exam-tenttiympäristössä.
Rokotusosaamisen perusteet 2op toteutetaan verkko-opiskeluna
Timing of exams and assignments
Lääke- ja iv-nestehoito: Learn-alustalla olevat materiaalit, ajankohdat ilmoitetaan opintojakson alussa. Opintojakson tentti Exam-tenttiympäristössä, tenttiajankohdat ilmoitetaan opintojakson alussa. Lääkelaskut-osion tentti Examissa, suoritettavissa "non-stop".
Rokotusosaamisen suorittamiseen kuuluu kirjalliset tehtävät ja Learn-tentti, jotka suoritat itsenäisesti, omaan tahtiin, itsellesi sopivana ajankohtana.
