Objective

You are able to apply evidence-based data in surgical and perioperative nursing.
You understand the specificities of surgical and perioperative patient care paths and treatment.
You are able to apply your knowledge of the main diseases that require surgical treatment at different stages of the treatment process.
You know the main interventions of surgical and perioperative nursing.
You are able to apply methods that promote patient and occupational safety.
You know how to prevent complications and promote rehabilitation.
You have command of aseptic activity in your own practices and your team’s work as well as in patient care.
You are able to apply pharmacotherapy to treat surgical and perioperative patients using applied pharmacology.
You know how to implement pain management for a surgical, perioperative and palliative patient.
You apply guidance and teaching methods in surgical nursing.
You are able to document nursing data in accordance with the national nursing record system.

What are the different tasks of a nurse in an operating room?
How is intraoperative nursing implemented?
How is postoperative nursing implemented?
How are postoperative complications caused, and how are they prevented and treated?
How is patient and occupational safety ensured during different phases of the surgical process?
How do you systematically assess the patient's condition during the preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative stages of treatment?
How is asepsis taken into account and implemented during the various stages of surgical treatment?
How is the pharmacotherapy of a surgical and perioperative patient planned, implemented and evaluated?
