Objective

You understand what design thinking is.

You learn design thinking practices, most importantly the design process.

You learn how to use different brainstorming methods to solve problems and find new, user-centred solutions through design.

You learn to observe your environment and identify what different stakeholders want and need.

You learn how to use different visual representations to make your design visible.

Toteutuksen osien kuvaus

The course is divided into 2 parts:
First, the theory section (3 ECTS) is realized, consisting of lectures and learning tasks, which address the design industry in general and the different stages of the design process, regardless of the substantive field of different education.

After that, the substantive section (2 ECTS) will then be implemented, dealing various stages of the design process and field practices from the point of view of each education will be discussed and learning tasks are performed.

Further information

The study module consists of the lectures which are related to the subject, of short learning tasks.
