Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- cargo operations between tankers and terminals
- to calculate liquid cargoes and plan cargo procedures
- of basic principles on interactions between ship and terminal

Content

- liquid cargo properties and terminology
- cargo planning, segregation and calculations
- excercises and simulations regarding different types of tankers and terminals including on-site excursions when possible

Evaluation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary and concepts in an expert way in different situations
- look for information in the key information sources of the field
- identify interrelated tasks
- work together with customers, users and target groups
- choose appropriate models, methods, software and techniques according to the purpose and justify these choices

In addition, competence evaluation according to STCW code table A-II/2 column 4 are used:
- cargo operations are planned and executed in accordance with established procedures and legislative requirements
- planned distribution of cargo is based on reliable information and is in accordance with established guidelines and legislative requirements

Scheduled track:
You will attend teaching and guidance sessions as specified in the schedule.
Lectures, learning tasks and training tasks.

Blended track:
Discussion with the teacher and, where appropriate, PSP-planning with your own mentor teacher.

Active participation, approved learning tasks and NAPA exercise.
