Objective

Knowledge and understanding of and proficiency in:
- basic electronic components and common electronic applications on board

Content

- diodes
- transistors
- thyristors
- rectifiers
- inverters
- frequency converters
(STCW A-III/1 and A-III/2)

Evaluation

Students can
- use professional vocabulary systematically
- use the key models, methods, software and techniques of the professional field
- justify their actions according to the ethical principles of the professional field

In addition, competence evaluation according to STCW code table A-III/1 column 4 are used:
- Selection and use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment are appropriate and interpretation of results is accurate
