Which subareas does the tourism and hospitality industry cluster consist of, and what are the specific characteristics of the industry?
What is the significance of cooperation between different sectors of the tourism and hospitality industry for the sector's companies?
How should responsibility and its different aspects be taken into account in the tourism and hospitality industry?
What are multicultural skills and how can they be used in the field?
Which are the key international, national and regional strategies and regulations that steer the tourism and hospitality industry?

Evaluation

Students can

Study forms and methods

Opintojaksolla opiskellaan itsenäisesti Learn-verkko-oppimisympäristössä.
Opintojakso on jaettu kolmeen teemaan: toimintaympäristö, yhteistyö ja vastuullisuus sekä monikulttuurisuus ja kansainvälisyys. Opintojaksolla on tentti ja erilaisia tehtäviä, jotka voi suorittaa itsenäisesti tai vaihtoehtoisesti osan niistä parin kanssa. Opintojaksolla on teemojen mukaiset luennot verkossa. Luennot tallennetaan myös myöhemmin katsottavaksi.
Pääsystä opintojaksoalustalle ilmoitetaan infokirjeellä etukäteen. Pääsy opintojaksolle avautuu viimeistään opintojakson alkamispäivänä.

RDI and work-related cooperation

Opintojakson tehtäviä voi soveltaa omaan työtehtävään, työpaikkaan tai hankkeeseen. Opintojaksolla voi olla vierailija työelämästä.

Timing of exams and assignments

Opintojakson tehtävät tulee suorittaa opintojakson aikana. Palautuspäivät on nähtävillä Learn-ympäristössä opintojen rytmittämiseksi.

Student workload

Opiskelijan työmäärä on 135 tuntia. Työmäärä kuitenkin riippuu opiskelutaidoista ja aiemmasta osaamisesta.

Assessment methods and criteria

Opintojakso arvioidaan kokonaisuudessaan asteikolla 1-5. Opintojakson suoritukseen kuuluu kaikkien oppimistehtävien hyväksytty suoritus. Arviointi tehdään suhteessa opintojakson oppimistavoitteisiin ja arviointikriteereihin.
