Objective

• understand the process of designing for web
• are familiar with the history of web design
• understand the basic principles of web design and usability
• are be able to prepare photographs for web use
• know the differences between designing for web and print
• understand the basics of HTML and CSS
• are able to utilise different tools and software to create your own portfolio site
• understand the basic principles of publishing a website

Content

How do you code a simple web site and how can you utilise this knowledge in your own web projects?
How and when to use different image formats for web use?
How to design a portfolio site and publish it?
How to take target group’s needs into consideration in the design process?
